My world's stuff mostly. Cell phones and basic dumb AI work just fine, but I can't connect directly to a network without it counting as some kind of magic? Seems like an arbitrary line if you ask me. Or do you think it's based more on the perception of what's possible than any actual point of advancement?

(Go back far enough and even something as simple as a lighter would be seen as witchcraft, after all.

...More importantly, Cortana is so interested in this topic she no longer cares about the topic of Martin and Jon's entity knowledge source. At least for now.)

Hmmm...

So, what about technologies that people know are possible but just haven't quite been realized?

Do you think the perception of what's possible could be changed?

(Someone has ideas.)

That would be useful.

A part of me is also thinking that releasing and patenting designs for functional versions of technologies that are currently still being worked on would be a great way to earn money.

(She wants to feel again. Let her have money to buy nice things.)

Early 21st century humans were on the cusp of a lot more than people realized. Working brain technology interfaces, functional robot limbs, printing flash-cloned organs... really, all the current versions need is a bit of tweaking to make them more efficient and marketable.

(Though all these things would likely require tears of testing before seeing actual use. Still, it would be worth it to get some stuff started.

She'll talk to ADI.)

True. Humans are pretty amazing.

Thanks Martin.

(Oh she hasn't forgotten, buddy. She just has more important things to focus on for the moment.)
